Love, Love, Love, these beds!!! The only thing I didn't like was that the holes drilled for all the different bed rail positions had screws to fill in instead of wooden died to match caps, but being as small as they are, they would probably be a choking hazard or something... I Love that they come apart into 2 diff. beds. all of the other pieces are stored under the one untill we need them:)

Bought bunks for my younger son. He was so excited when it arrived. Very easy to put together. The extra slat package is well worth it for the extra safety. Very easy to put together. Only had a little trouble with the extra slats because of precut slots for just the 3 original slats that come with the bed. Overall very nice addition to his room.

My husband assembled in 2 hrs 20 min, including opening all packaging (8 Boxes!!) Very impressed with the product. It is darker than the picture looks, but I prefer it darker, so it works for us. Boys haven't slept in it yet, but they have been playing in it for hours, so it seems like it will work out for us!! :)

This bed was more expensive than some I found in stores, but the quality speaks for itself. It was exactly what I was looking for. The kids and we love it! Took about 3 hours to assemble

Purchased this bed for our 2 1/2 year old son transitioning from a toddler bed. Our primary draw was that Lea was a La-z-Boy company and the fact that we could separate into two twin beds if we choose. The bed is easy to assemble, if you assemble by yourself, don't put the lower and upper beds together separately, you will not be able to get the completed upper bed up without help. I suggest assembling the lower bed, go ahead an place the head and foot board in position and then fasten the rails.

I did not order the $100+ safety slats. If you are slightly handy, you can save some money and end up with a more secure structure. I purchased 1/2" plywood at Home Depot, they cut to your diminsions for free on their panel saw. Placed that on top of some good pine 1x4 slats and screwed it all down, very secure and I only spent $40 to do the top and bottom. To finish I purchased two firm mattresses at Costco for $179 each, stay away from the "2 mattress" deal at this site, they are 6" futon mattresses.

Overall, very pleased and would highly recommend.

the quality of this bunk bed is great... nice finish, no squeaking, impressive feel and very solid. my biggest concern when ordering was the return policy at mercantila (there isn't one if you look at their fine print - they are an internet middle man and don't carry inventory). if the bed comes damaged you have to work with the supplier to fix. while the bed is great, i still hesitate to work with a company that doesn't back their products. would i do it again? yes, but only on products i couldn't find elsewhere (like this bunk bed... great bed for the price).

This bed is worth it! We have 5 kids we know all about the options. This bed system is great. It is versital we be using these beds for years in many forms. We purchased the Tri-bunk option and the kids love it. We are confident in the strength of the construction. The assembly was a breeze clear directions, all the right hardware, all the threads and bolt holes lined up great. Lifting the top bunk for the assembly is a bit tough but everything lined up exactly. It was on in under a minute!

We bought this bed for our son and daughter and it is PERFECT for their jungle themed room! Very sturdy, well built, easy to assemble with 2 people, and will last a very long time. I am sure we will have this furniture forever!

I HIGHLY suggest the slat pack.... the slats it comes with are useless and do not give any mattress support. It should automatically come with the safety slat pack. Also, we decided to purchase the extension after the bed was assembled for more room on the bottom bunk. However, now we have a useless twin safety slat that we had purchased for the bottom and will probably just rig something up to support the full mattress. (I think the extension should've come with it's own slat pack too, like some of the other Lea extensions do.) If you have the room, I suggest getting the full size bottom bunk from the start for several reasons: there's not much head room between the two bunks, so it's more comfortable for adults. Also, we all enjoy the full size bed to snuggle and read in before it's time to go to sleep. The full size lower bed makes it easier to make the top bunk too because you have something to stand on as you pull/tuck the sheets in.

We also have the pull out storage drawer which stores all their blankets and bed linens right now. May be used as a trundle bed for sleepovers when they get a bit older. We'll see. Overall, we are very happy with this purchase. The kids LOVE it!

The bed is very attractive. It is surdy and well made. I wish the captains bed had drawers that went all the way through or were on both sides. It also only comes with enough slats for one of the beds not both which is strange. I would buy this again any time though because it is so nice looking and very well made.

Found this bunk bed at other sites, but no one could beat the price we paid at The Bunk Bed Superstore. We saved almost $500 dollars by shopping here. Product arrived in lots of boxes, which was very intimadating. But, very clear instructions. My husband had this bed put together in 2 nights (after work). Our son loves it and everyone has commented how beautiful they are. They arrived in excellent condtion. Will not hesitate to recommend or shop from them again.

Purchased for 2 very active 3 1/2 and 4 1/2 yr old boys. It is very sturdy. I think the best feature is that it will hold regular size mattresses and the top rail is still high enough that a child won't roll out. We are very pleased with the quality of this bed.

I have two young sons with there own bedrooms. This bunk will free up one room when we have guest. The bed turned out to be ten times nicer than I thought it would be. Very heavy, sturdy furniture that was much darker in color than the picture suggests.....MUCH TO OUR SATISFACTION!!!!
